Virtual Choir is an application designed to assist musicians in creating video montages. Users have the ability to record individual performances, import recordings from collaborators, and synchronize all content seamlessly.
====
To begin, users should follow these steps:
- Create a new project.
- If you possess an audio or video base for accompaniment, navigate to the Audio/Video Base page to import the file. If no base is available, you can record a base from scratch.
- Return to the project page and proceed to the Recordings section.
- To record a new performance, press the red button at the bottom. Alternatively, import a pre-recorded video using the button at the top. When recording, ensure that the audio or video base begins playing upon tapping the record icon in the camera. Using earplugs is recommended to prevent the base from being recorded alongside your video.
- If an audio base is missing, designate the current recording as the base by returning to the Recordings section and selecting the "me" button on the specific recording.
- Following recording, verify synchronization by viewing the recordings list. Click on a recording's name for details and access the Synchronization Tool by tapping the corresponding button.
- The Synchronization page allows users to listen to both recordings simultaneously. Utilize the plus and minus buttons to adjust the position of the current recording if needed.
- After synchronization, return to the Project page and navigate to Edit Montage. Drag and arrange recordings to construct the video montage. Play back the audio or preview the video using the provided buttons at the top (note that quality might be compromised here). Long-press to remove a recording and explore creative possibilities!
- Once editing is complete, return to Project and access Video Montages. Tap the green button at the bottom to generate the final montage.
Various app and project settings are available for customization:
- If recordings fail to display, consider adjusting the default folder within app settings.
- If montage creation is time-consuming, experiment with lowering quality settings in project preferences. A minimum of 480p is recommended for sharing purposes. Additionally, consider reducing video quality before importing through third-party software to potentially enhance rendering speed (this feature may be integrated into future app updates).

This application is currently in beta development but has been introduced with the aim of enabling individuals in quarantine to share their artistic talents. Virtual Choir remains free for users throughout the duration of the pandemic.
